The greatly anticipated contest between Victor and Pittsford was resolved, at least at this point, tonight when Victor overcame a 4-2 halftime deficit and scored seven goals in the second half to beat the Panthers 9-6.

There were only four games played today. Webster Schroeder used seven goals in the second half to beat Churchville-Chili 11-5. Even scoring gave Aquinas a 15-11 win over visiting HF-L. Webster Thomas beat the Greece Lightning 15-5 and Brighton beat Brockport 15-2.

Although Iroquois (Section VI) scored the first goal of the game, Webster Thomas scored the next three and six of the next seven to defeat the Chiefs 9-6. The Titans were led in scoring by Kevin Hill with six goals. He finished the game with 16 shots (9 on cage) and accounted for 41% of the shooting for Thomas.

Webster Thomas scored the first three goals of the contest and never trailed in their 12-8 victory over Penfield. The Titans were in complete control of the game and led by six at the beginning of the fourth quarter. Thomas also spread out their scoring with five different players scoring two goals each and seven total players making the scorebook. Conversely, Penfield had five of their goals come from junior attackman Max Spaan. Spaan was responsible for 12 of Penfield's 30 total shots with only six total players taking shots in the entire game. Thomas had five players with over four shots with junior midfielder Kevin Hill leading with eight shots.

The Titans briefly held the lead in the first quarter, but the Braves tied the game for the last time with 8:58 remaining in the second quarter with the first of their five goals.

Senior midfielder Eric Munn (Canandaigua) and defenseman Nick Panara (Pittsford) were named US Lacrosse Academic All Americans. Junior midfielder Kevin Hill (Thomas) along with senior attackmen Trevor Hodgins (Churchville-Chili), Justin Kesselring (Fairport-A/M) and Stephen Quinzi (Pittsford) were selected as US Lacrosse All Americans.

Thomas scored five unanswered goals spanning the second and third quarters to defeat Penn Yan 8-7. The Titans and Mustangs have played six times in the last five years and with the Thomas win, the series is now tied 3-3. Penn Yan was held scoreless for 19:36 from late in the second quarter to early in the fourth quarter.

In a game that was never more than two goals apart, Thomas scored two of the last three goals to defeat Fairport 12-11. Both teams had opportunities to lead throughout the game. Thomas moves the series to 12-6 in Fairport's favor. The Titans have defeated the Red Raiders two years in a row with last season's 11-10 overtime win against them.

Thomas never led for a single second in their 9-8 overtime win over Canandaigua. Scoring when it was most important, they took their only lead with a sudden victory goal from Travis Ford with 2:11 left in the first overtime period. The Titans scored six of the last seven goals. Trevor and Travis Ford were major players in the contest with Travis scoring 2g (including the game winner) and Trevor scoring 5g.

# 443  Semi: Thomas Over Irondequoit in OT

*+After a delayed start due to weather, Webster Thomas fought back from a five goal deficit (8-3) to force overtime and then defeated Irondequoit 11-10. The Titans never led and only tied the game twice (9-9 and 10-10). They took their first lead in sudden victory overtime to secure their win and move into the Finals. Irondequoit controlled the game for nearly three full quarters before Thomas fought back at the end of the third.

This is the sixth year for the Section Five All-Section Team. It is an effort by the Lacrosse Committee and the coaches of Section Five to identify some of the top players among the over 1,100 varsity players in the section this year. Nominations for the lists came from Head coaches, administrators and SportsFive personnel. This year 15 players were selected for the first team, 13 players for second team and this year, 12 players on the third team. Our six All Americans automatically make the first team. All players on this list must first be named to their first team All-League teams or be from Independent teams.

The boys` game will start at 7:00 PM after the girls` play at 5:00 PM.

The Red Rams started off with the first three goals against Webster Thomas, but the Titans came back with the next three goals to tie the game early in the second quarter. Travis Ford (4-2) scored with 3:55 left in the half to give Thomas their first lead of the game (5-4). The Red Rams used the last three minutes of the half to scored two goals and go to the break, up 6-5.

Top seeded Penn Yan scored nearly all their goals in a set of two runs to defeat third seeded Aquinas 9-7. The Little Irish played the first half extremely well and led 3-0 and 4-1 before the Mustangs began to get their feet under them.
